LEGAL & PRIVACY
Privacy notice
Last updated 7 October 2026
The Vibe Edit turns the fashion references you choose to keep into a personal edit. This notice explains how we use your information and the choices available to you.
Who is responsible
The Vibe Edit at thevibeedit.eu is operated by Selen Ergin, an individual and the data controller for this service. For privacy questions or requests, email sipahiogluselen@gmail.com.
Information we process
We process the name, email address and securely hashed password you provide for your account; your chosen inspiration photos; the resulting style profile, colours and garment attributes; your shopping country, occasion, budget and preferences; and the items, looks and boards you save. We also process account sessions, password-reset requests, feedback, service errors and AI usage records. Our hosting and delivery providers process technical request information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect the service. You can explore a sample edit without uploading personal photos.
Photos, AI and personal recommendations
Personal photo analysis requires sign-in. Selected images are prepared and compressed on your device, uploaded to private storage and processed using Google Gemini to describe clothing, colours, silhouettes and style. We reuse your saved style profile and stored catalogue product observations to match products; fresh AI review may be used where information is unclear. Recommendations and match scores are estimates, not facts about your identity or guarantees of fit. We do not use this feature for facial recognition, biometric identification, body measurements or sensitive-personality assessments. We do not train our own AI models on your photos. Google's processing of submitted images and responses is governed by its Gemini API terms; provider security and abuse-prevention processing may apply. Only upload images you have the right to use, and avoid unnecessary personal or sensitive information.
Why we use information and the legal grounds
We use account information, photos and preferences to provide the analysis and saved-edit features you request, on the basis of performing our service agreement with you or taking steps at your request. Our legitimate interests in operating a reliable, secure service support fraud prevention, troubleshooting, cost and usage monitoring, handling feedback and basic product-link counts. We use information where necessary to meet legal obligations or respond to legal claims. Any future optional tracking that requires consent will be offered separately; you can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Account details and photos are needed for a personal analysis, but purchasing products and sharing a card are optional.
Images and retention
Server-side inspiration photos expire 24 hours after upload and are removed by the hourly cleanup process; failed deletions are retried. You can request removal sooner using Delete uploaded photos. Your saved Vibe DNA, preferences, saved products, looks and boards can remain after the original photos expire, so you can reuse your style without uploading again. These account records are kept until you remove them or delete the account. Account-linked AI result caches expire after 90 days. Password-reset links expire after one hour; expired authentication records are cleaned up. Deleting an account removes its active account records and associated private uploads, but a limited deletion audit is retained. Technical logs, financial records, deletion audits and guest feedback have separate retention based on security, support, accounting and legal needs; they do not share the photo's 24-hour expiry. Provider backups or security logs may not be erased immediately when active records are deleted. Contact us for the applicable retention details.
Resuming on your device
We save your last section, unfinished shopping brief and prepared photo draft in account-specific device storage. Draft photos expire 24 hours after the latest selection; expired bytes are removed when that account next opens the app. Drafts remain after sign-out and are only restored for the same signed-in account. Removing photos or deleting the account clears its local photo draft on the device you use. Other devices may retain local copies until opened or their site data is cleared. Saved account content syncs across devices; unfinished drafts do not. Returning to the app does not automatically restart an interrupted analysis.
Service providers and international processing
Providers used to run the service include Railway for application hosting and the account database, private object storage for uploaded images, Google Gemini for image analysis, Resend for account emails, and Cloudflare for domain and network services. Providers receive the information necessary for their role: for example, Resend processes your email address and password-reset message, while Gemini processes submitted images and style instructions. Product images may load from retailers or their image-delivery services, which receive the technical information needed to serve them. Providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, international transfers must have an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses. You can request details of the providers and safeguards relevant to your information from Selen Ergin.
Retailers, affiliate links and commissions
The live catalogue includes retailer feeds from Awin and Daisycon. When you open a shopping link, the retailer and any affiliate network involved receive your visit and may use cookies or other identifiers under their own notices to attribute a purchase. The Vibe Edit may earn a commission. Our own product-click record stores the product, retailer, destination type and time, without attaching your account ID. We may process commission reports for business accounting. We do not send your inspiration photos or private Vibe DNA to retailers. Checkout and payment take place with the retailer; The Vibe Edit does not collect your card details or fulfil your order.
Sharing your vibe
The share card is created on your device from the style details shown in its preview. It does not include your uploaded photos, account name, email or budget. You choose whether to download it or pass it to another app through your device's share sheet. The Vibe Edit does not automatically publish it or connect to your Instagram account. If you post it, the selected platform processes the card under its own privacy terms and audience settings. Downloaded or posted copies are not removed by deleting your Vibe Edit account.
Feedback
Give feedback sends your comments privately to the operator and administrators. Providing a name or email is optional. Signed-in comments are linked to your account and deleted with that account; guest comments are not account-linked. Feedback is stored with the hosting provider and is not submitted to the style-analysis model. Please do not include sensitive personal information.
Cookies and local storage
Essential session cookies and device storage support sign-in, account security, unfinished drafts, language settings and privacy choices. Optional analytics cookies are not active, and no optional advertising tracker is currently enabled in the app. Operational usage and product-click records described above are separate from optional browser analytics. Retailers and affiliate networks have their own cookie choices when you follow shopping links. You can review the app's Cookie and consent choices page or clear site data in your browser; doing so can sign you out and remove local drafts.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests by emailing sipahiogluselen@gmail.com. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. These rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity and normally respond within one month; if an extension is permitted, we will explain it. You can update account details, remove uploaded photos and delete your account using the app. You may complain to your local data-protection authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl). Style recommendations do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
